Turkey Chipotle Chili

OMG! So good and easy, and it's actually healthy too. But be warned: it's spicy!

1.5 pounds ground white meat turkey
1 onion, chopped
1 (7.5) oz can chipotle peppers*
1 (15 oz.) can white beans (navy, pinto or great northern)
1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
1 cup your favorite barbecue sauce

*puree the peppers in a blender or mash with a fork until smooth. These can be very hot, add them slowly depending on how hot you like your chili

In large pot, brown the turkey over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until soft, about 15 minutes. Drain the liquid from both cans of the beans and add them to the pot. Add the peppers and tomatoes, with their juices. Add the barbecue sauce and heat through. Let the whole mixture simmer about 15 minutes. Add half a bottle of beer if it needs more liquid and you want to cool down the spiciness.
